BROKEN BONES
BROKEN BONES
LINER NOTES
We wrote BROKEN BONES fast, on one of those nights where everything fragile in your life seems to land at once. The hourglass on the cover is bleeding for a reason — it is a song about time running out and choosing to keep going anyway.
It is heavier than it looks. The prism on the ribcage is the one bit of color we allowed ourselves: proof that something alive is still in there, even when the frame is cracked.
Bones break. The song doesn't.
LYRICS
Original lyrics — same in every language.
I wish
I had
More broken bones
I wish
I had
More stories to tell
It was so long ago
So long for me to recall
Recall something I'll never know
If what they did was right
I wish
I had
Spent less time at home
I wish
I really wish that
I really wish I had (Go!)
It was so long ago
So long for me to recall
Recall something I'll never know
If what they did was right
(It was so long ago)
So long for me to recall
Recall something I'll never know
If what they did was right
Right
