BREAKING THE SILENCE: WELCOME TO CHAIN STRIKERS

LOG DATE: 2025.01.01

For a long time, I waited.

I waited for the "right" people. I waited for the perfect lineup. I waited for the stars to align so I could finally start the band I always heard in my head. But the truth about waiting is that it’s usually just a comfortable excuse for not doing.

Then, I remembered the story of the first Foo Fighters album. Dave Grohl didn’t wait for a band; he just went into the studio and did it himself. That was the spark I needed. If the music is there, you don't wait—you record it.

So, what is Chain Strikers?

I created Chain Strikers to fill a void I felt in modern music. Everything today feels too polished, too perfect, and frankly, a bit artificial. I missed the raw humanity of the 90s and early 2000s—the grit, the emotion, and yes, even the imperfections. I wanted to make music that sounds like people, not computers. No auto-tune, no over-production. Just raw sound.

I like to think of this band as the love child of a romance between Grunge and Nu-Metal. It’s that sweet spot where the melodic heaviness of Alice in Chains meets the aggressive energy of early Linkin Park.

The Name

People often ask where the name comes from. I’ve always been a fan of how Josh Homme finds inspiration in obscure places, so I turned to something that impacted me growing up: a Yu-Gi-Oh card called "Chain Strike."

I wanted a name that carried the same phonetic weight as my heroes—Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains—and "Chain Strikers" felt right. But beyond the origin, I loved the imagery of striking the chains.

The name represents breaking the things that bind us. It’s about destroying the barriers—mental, physical, or societal—that try to hold us captive. It turns the name into a mission statement.

The Message: "Try to Cage Me"

This isn't just about cool riffs; it's about a mindset. It’s about looking at the way things "are" and refusing to accept them just because we’re told to.

This leads us to the debut single.

On February 28, 2025, Chain Strikers will release "Try to Cage Me."

This song is the perfect introduction to the project. It’s an anthem about breaking free from those very chains I mentioned. It’s loud, it’s honest, and it’s just the beginning.

Thank you for being here at the start of this journey. Turn it up loud.
